The fact that the Gardens were completed many decades ago absolutely left me gob smacked in awe of the beauty and the perfect symmetry of design. “You meet the group and then you walk to subway station, take a subway and a train to location then walk to Versailles. It’s a 2 hr trip. Versailles was totally worth it and our guide was so knowledgeable and sweet. After the tour you are not guided back to the location where we met. If you don’t want to tackle that on your own, it’s about a 35 euro uber ride.”

The kids (ages 14,12 & 5) enjoyed him, and the entire day! They measured up what we did on that bike tour with everything else and felt their time touring the grounds of Versailles was their favorite. Highly recommend. Also should mention that I was anxious as it was rainy in the morning. That didn’t stop the fun at all. In fact, it gave the day more character!”

“It is very handy to be able to get to both venues in one day. Our guide was lovely. Lunch was at a charming old mill venue and just right. Versailles was about as minimal a walk through of both palace and gardens as could be. So, if time is short, this is a good option. If you really want to take your time and perhaps get more in depth access to Versailles especially, consider a booking that includes more of the private areas.”
