“The castles definitely are worth it, we were given a tour of each one plus some extra time to roam and take pictures. They guide was really professional and knowledgeable. We stopped for lunch in the perfect place in a perfect day. A restaurant/cafeteria in Chenonceau Castle with a series of tents with a beautiful view of the castle grounds. The low point of the tour was the bus. The oldest, falling to pieces, dirtiest bus ever. The seats were very small and if you got the last row you basically had to sit diagonally to fit in. My family was so uncomfortable! Besides you couldn’t see through the windows…”
